1) Title

"Support to the community of evacuees in Al Fasher the district through training about the agriculture subject to realize biological gardens"

2) Country and locality of the intervention

The project wants to contribute the support to the population that left the villages after the conflict in Darfur and has taken refuge in the district of El Fasher, North Darfur, Sudan. This project it is particularly headed to those who return to the villages. We want to help them to create gardens for personal use or for small commerce. After the realization of our first project, we would like to implement our project in this district where we have achieved great and important results among the civil society.

4) Direct beneficiaries

Familiar units of the refugees camps of El Fasher (Zam Zam and The Salam camps) will be involved directly in the expected activity: 

- training, laboratories and distribution of information for the domestic accomplishment of gardens;

- training about agricultural technologies, compost, rotation of the cultivations, intercrop, purchase and distribution of seeds and agricultural

instrumentations, popular creation of material;

- training for self-management of agricultural family business with biological orientation;

- training in development and reinforcement of the technologies of commercialization of the biological products;

- building of two wells to solar mechanization, to have an exclusive supply for irrigation of the biological gardens.

5) Final objectives

At the end of the training in development and reinforcement of the technologies of traditional and biological production and in self-management of the agricultural family business, with orientation to the biological one, we expect to realize 100 gardens within the end of the project for self-maintenance, both for the consumption inside the familiar units and for the sale of the remaining production.
